Wendy Bruere is a writer, editor and freelance adventure journalist. Currently the Assistant Editor of Vertical Life magazine, she has also been published in Wild magazine, Great Walks, We Are Explorers, and others.
She has published several anthologies, including the award-winning More Than It Hurts, which received a Special Jury Mention in the 2021 Banff Mountain Book Competition.
Adventures in Climate Science: Scientists’ Tales From the Frontiers of Climate Change launched with Woodslane Press in June 2023.
Prior to this, she lived and worked in a dozen different countries across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, working with UN agencies, NGOs and media outlets.
She is available for freelance work in writing, editing and media relations.
